juz came back from my bangkok trip and it's reallie an eye-opener... haha...
First of all, I tink Bangkok can also be considered a shopping paradise... the things are cheap and comes in all varieties... Usu things tat we saw are usually imitations tat looked like the real ones.. Most of the brands include Nike, Addidas, Polo, Billabong, Roxy... Wow... and it's reallie hard to differentiate them and they cost less than half of the real brand... and one thing very amazing is that they even bother to put the "Brand" Tag on the items.. and it can reallie be passed off as the real ones... haha... I regretted not buying more... hahaha...
If u are thinking of gg there to shop, I recommend ChaTuChak (weekend market)-- a bit buguis street style and things are reallie cheap, a top can cost as low as S$2 and MBK(Mah Boon Krong)-- more of a shopping complex and sell food items and nicely-made imitation.
Orh, I oso went to watch a movie-- Mr & Mrs Smith. Comment is tat i tink it's a bit boring leh esp the first few scene where they are talking to the psychatrist and oso the last part. I tink i almost fell asleep coz i tink the pace of the movie is too slow. But i muz say that the assasination is quite nicely planned. Hee
The air pollution is bad and u can always see mist in the air, neva was there a clear sky. The traffic in Bangkok is horrible. There are always jams during certain times and their traffic lights are said to change onli every 7 min. Imagine the long queue of vehicles waiting for the lights to change. And there are reallie alot of taxis dere but not all will want to fetch u to ur destination coz of the traffic jams, coz i tink their meter dun counts when they are not moving unlike S'pore. And their starting fare is THB35 jumping onli THB2 each time which is onli S$1.46 and S$0.08 respectively. So usually, our taxi fare is onli about THB70-90(s$2.90-s$3.75).. haha... that's like the starting fare for S'pore's taxis... haha.. and the people dere got superb driving skills.. They wave in and out of the traffic as and when they want. Once, the driver even go to the oncoming lanes when there's a jam and start to horn the other drivers to tell them to keep away.. haha... he reallie tink the road belongs to his "ah gong" ah... haha... in addition, it also takes a lot of courage to cross the road in Bangkok coz what they haf is onli zebra-crossing. And cars dun give way if u dun dare to cross.. Sometimes, u even haf cars driving in front or behind u when u are crossing so u nid to be extra careful.
Hee.. and i manage to see "Gan Guan Wu Nu Lang" aka pole-dancers.. heee.. coz i tink we went into the wrong street ba.. and end up in stretch wif those kind of pubs.. the gers are all in bikinis but their dancing dun seem very enthu.. if we were not all gers, maybe I would have went in to see.. hee... but i am more interested in "ren yao" which I do see sometimes when I am shopping... U will onli recognise them when they are toking or when they haf certain actions... hee..
All in all, Bangkok is a place one should go and u will realise how good S'pore in terms of service and environment..their salespeople always force u to decide quickly and lack patience.. and they dun like people to touch their goods.. and will definitely tidy it back after u touch them... haha... as if we have virus in our hands.. haha
But if u tink M'sia things are cheap, Bangkok things are cheaper... I will definitely go dere again if i haf the chance.. =P
